Interested in getting involved?
Volunteering with CIfA offers a unique opportunity to help develop your professional institute. We would like to encourage accredited members to get involved by putting yourself forward to support the governance and development of the Institute. Volunteering also provides a variety of CPD benefits, not only from being part of these discussions but also through networking with colleagues and benefiting from sharing advice and experiences.
You can find out more about what is discussed at Advisory Council and Board meetings by looking at the meeting minutes published on the website www.archaeologists.net/members/councilminutes.
Candidate forms must arrive at the CIfA office by Friday 6 September 2019. Accredited members will be invited to vote for candidates in a ballot if the number of candidates exceeds the number of vacancies. Ballot papers, accompanied by information and an election statement of the candidates, will be distributed to members and the ballot will run from 18 September to 4 October 2019 inclusive.
We are keen to ensure that the members of the Board and Advisory Council cover a wide range of skills and experience from all areas of the profession and would encourage members to consider what they can contribute. More information about the nomination process (including nomination forms), guidance about what is involved in being part of the governance of CIfA is available on the website at www.archaeologists.net/cifa/agm.
Any member thinking of standing is invited to have an informal discussion with the Hon Chair by contacting alex.llewellyn [at] archaeologists.net.
