The Cultural Protection Fund https://www.britishcouncil.org/arts/culture-development/cultural-protect... is managed by the British Council in partnership with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. The £30m Fund supports projects that help create sustainable opportunities for economic and social development through building capacity to foster, safeguard and promote cultural heritage in conflict-affected regions overseas.
The Cultural Protection Advisory Group is being set up to provide advice to the Cultural Protection Fund’s Programme Board and the management of the Fund. It will be a forum for advice on matters related to the work of the Fund and will have no decision-making or executive powers.
Applications are sought from heritage professionals with significant recent experience in cultural heritage protection and a broad network of contacts within the UK and the Middle East. Details can be found here. The deadline for applications is Sunday February 26th 23:59pm.
