Call for papers – deadline 14 October 2016
Hosted at the University of Newcastle, expect to find our 2017 event packed with sessions, training and networking opportunities. We will have our usual three-day programme, this time exploring the broad theme Archaeology: a global profession. Below you will find the abstracts for our current collection of confirmed sessions, with details of the session organisers and contact email addresses. You will also find the additional workshop session we have confirmed – but look out for updates as there will be more to follow!
We are keen to involve a cross-section of those working within archaeology and across the globe so please pass on this Call for papers to your friends and colleagues…
How to submit a paper proposal
Simply email the session organisers with the title of your paper and an abstract of up to 150 words. The deadline for paper submission is 14 October 2016
Make sure you include your name and contact details in your submission.
The programme for the conference is being finalised and it would be helpful to inform the session organisers if you cannot present on a particular day. Although it is unlikely that we can change the programme at this stage, session organisers will need to know if you can’t make the day which the session is billed for!
All paper submissions should be sent directly to the session organisers…
We are currently finalising the timetable, including CPD workshops and networking events – keep an eye on the conference website for updates.
Please see the confirmed sessions and contact details for the session organisers here.
Make sure you keep up to date with the conference news via our eBulletin and on Twitter #CIfA2017
Sponsorship, exhibition and advertising opportunities
In recent years our exhibition hall has proven to be a great success, so this year we are offering an early opportunity for you to add the event to your diary and let us know you are interested in being involved. We will have the usual mix of sponsorship, exhibition and advertising opportunities, ranging from adding leaflets to bags and advertising in the conference programme, to exhibiting in our main hall and sponsoring sessions and fringe events.
You can find all the information here. If you would like to note interest in any of these, drop Jen an email and she will send out the booking information as soon as it is finalised.
If you think you might be interested in sponsoring one of our receptions (formal wine reception, or social event) let us know now and we can get in touch to discuss the details with you - both provide excellent opportunities to raise awareness to your organisation or project and have a real visibility throughout the conference. At this early stage we can discuss how your sponsorship can contribute to the social programme, and what benefits sponsors can expect.
Interested? Just get in touch and we can add you to our mailing list and/or discuss sponsorship opportunities with you. Email the conference team at conference [at] archaeologists.net
Keep an eye on the CIfA website for up to date information and news.
