CIfA’s submission on the Culture White Paper

DCMS intends to publish a Culture White Paper early in the New Year taking an overview of culture and the culture sector and how it can contribute to national life - see here for further details. CIfA’s submission, in response to a call for evidence, stresses the contribution which archaeology and the historic environment can make to the nation’s culture, but highlights concerns including the beleaguered state of local authority archaeology and heritage services.
