Since the turn of the year CIfA has continued to engage in the programme of legislative reform in Wales, responding to consultations on Alternative delivery models in public service delivery and The Well-being of Future Generations Act – how do we measure a nation’s progress?, as well as making representations to Lancashire County Council on proposed budget cuts and participating in the Cutting Red Tape initiative in relation to house building.
The Institute is currently preparing responses to proposals for an archaeology strategy for all of Ireland, Archaeology 2025, the Historic Environment Scotland draft Corporate Plan and Scotland’s revised Land Use Strategy, as well as DCLG’s consultation on proposed changes to national planning policy. On the international front, we are also seeking views on DCMS’s proposals for a Cultural Protection Fund.
