Complementing the on-line CIfA-Historic England workshop on synthesising results from archaeological projects, CIfA is pleased to be able to draw colleagues’ attention to the new initiative by the Coalition for Archaeological Synthesis, administered by the SRI Foundation. The coalition is offering generous grants towards collaborative research ventures, and seeks to have a transformative effect, changing practice to encourage synthetic study to be the norm rather than the exception.
CIfA professionals can learn from this good practice example. Collaborative research and synthesis are central topics of CIfA’s next conference CIfA2018 Pulling together: collaboration, synthesis, innovation, 25 to 27 April 2018, Brighton Racecourse. Remember that the call for papers closes on 1 December 2018, so pull something together quickly!
